Professional Formation - Applying for QTLS/ATLS
A morning training/support seminar
Following the introduction of the 2007 Workforce Reforms, Professional Formation provides the opportunity for practitioners from across the learning & skills sector to have their professional status as a teacher recognised by applying for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or Associate Teacher Learning and Skills (ATLS) status.
The South West Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SWCETT) is offering this half-day session to support practitioners by providing:
• accurate and succinct information about the process of Professional Formation
• the opportunity to understand how to apply for A/QTLS
• support to help practitioners get started and progress on their journey towards A/QTLS

During this day Geoff will look at a wealth of teaching and learning strategies and approaches that are known to develop your students’ self-belief, and the self-belief of the teachers on your teaching team. He will also look at how we can get students to value the outcomes of education, and how we can teach them in ways that they enjoy, and that will get the very best out of them.

Inclusion Forum The Inclusion Forum is for all in teaching and learning who are challenged to identify and resolve issues related to inclusion that are not addressed in any other setting. This can include managers and practitioners delivering Foundation Learning, Learning Support and Teacher Training in any context in the 14 to 19 and FE sectors. This may also include officers from the Local Authority and LSC/Skills Funding Agency.
